Teaching & Facilitating

Hannah believes that equal access to the creative arts in education and communities is directly linked to the wellbeing and success of our society as a whole. Hannah strives to create high quality creative arts education that engages with all people, whatever their level of experience.

I cannot recommend Hannah’s workshops highly enough. There are skill gaps in any Drama curriculum, so Hannah’s work goes a long way to filling this and preparing students for an evolving job’s market. She comes with a breadth of experience which students will find invaluable. All her sessions are presented in an engaging and inclusive manner.

CV & Experience

  • Private LAMDA tuition from Entry to Grade 8, solo, duologue and group exam experience.

  • In collaboration with The Guildford School of Acting, Get Into Theatre and The Federation of Drama Schools, Hannah was part of a nationwide inclusion project in which she constructed and facilitated workshops for schools in regional theatres across the UK. She provided exciting career-focussed workshops aiming to illustrate the viability of further study of the creative industries in Higher Education whilst also encouraging school engagement with local theatres.

These outreach workshops were designed with the intention of raising the aspirations of disadvantaged young people. This collaboration was designed to support school children and teachers, particularly those from backgrounds currently underrepresented in the creative industries training sector.

  • Hannah is currently in collaboration with Chichester Festival Youth Theatre on an exciting project that combines live theatre, motion capture and volumetric capture technology.

‘Project Alpha’ is an R&D pilot project on hybrid performance in which we explore the interaction between digital and human characters. The project employs Volumetric Capture, ‘Unreal Engine’ and Motion Capture. This allowed practitioners and youth members to make 3D animation scenes which were projected onto a tailor made screen, allowing the performers to ‘come in and out of the digital world.’

The R&D required practitioners to think outside the box, inspire and shape the contributions of participants and collaborate with a team of creative technologists.

  • Hannah lead and facilitated Farnham Maltings junior and senior Youth Theatre groups. She focused on creating a fun and inclusive culture, building confidence and team-work skills, as well as expanding young people’s performance and devising skills.

Creating and facilitating engaging weekly sessions that included devising, physical theatre, improvisation, character development, and script-work, where members had the opportunity to take part in productions and sharing.

  • Hannah teaches online and in person private classes for students located all over the world with Dramaworks International. This focuses on acting and prose speaking for children and young adults aged 12-18. The course culminates in OFQUAL registered qualifications from The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art for it’s students.

Hannah helps students achieve high grades in LAMDA exams, 1-8, with a particular focus on bronze, silver and gold medal. Using performance to develop an understanding of characterisation, physical presence and a strong speaking voices. LAMDA qualiications are recognised as a benchmark for success in education and the performing arts industry.

  • Hannah is a regular leader for Perform’s weekly workshops that use a unique mix of drama, dance and singing to bring out every child's true potential.

Unlike traditional stage schools, a child development is at the heart of these classes. Rather than teaching rigorous techniques, memorisation and repetition to produce a 'perfect performance', Hannah uses drama-based games, exercises, songs and dances in an imaginative and fun way to help boost child development.

Hannah also has years of experience leading Workshops with KS1 & KS2 in primary schools, with children aged 3-12.

I believe that youth theatre and drama play a vital role in the lives of young people. For so many it can offer a sense of identity and community, at a time when they need it most. It’s such a privilege to support young people in their individual journeys, whether that be creating a career, or life-long love of the arts.
